Hand Sculpted Paper
Every piece starts with shredding some junk mail, soaking it over night and blending it into a paper smoothie. Then I put the paper smoothie in a large bin of water and pull sheets of paper from the pulp. Some sheets are frame formed and some free form. Sometimes I will fold and drape the paper, other times I will lay it over a clay sculpture to pull the sculpt from the clay to the paper. The color comes from liquid watercolor, watered acrylic, or homemade inks from black berries.

A little about Me
Hi! Just call me Tammy, I am a recycle artist and macro photographer. I create my art in my home studio in Northglenn Colorado.
Hey if you ever want to go hiking let me know, only problem is I usually get stuck a few yards in taking pictures of the tiny flowers, pebbles, and moss. But don't worry, by time you are back from the hike I should be done taking pictures.

I love learning, meeting new people, sharing ideas, trying something new, and pushing the limit to make something impossible... possible. I enjoy playing in the mud, making paper, recycling with art, causing messes, and creating pretty things. |
